Another drowning Monday in Haute-Savoie

On Monday, a 16-year-old boy died of drowning while bathing in a small lake in Sallanches (Haute-Savoie). His body was discovered around 2:30 p.m. by a lifeguard in one of the three Ilettes lakes, a set of small bodies of water dedicated to swimming, fishing and windsurfing. The adolescent had been found in an area of ​​the leisure base which was not supervised by the town's lifeguards.

Originally from the Paris region, the victim was in summer camp with other adolescents in the resort of Saisies. She would have escaped the vigilance of her companions and would have drowned, not knowing how to swim.
