It was found that the larvae found in tap water in Seo-gu, Incheon, were found not only in water purification plants but also in two drainage ponds.

As the detailed investigation by the waterworks management authority progresses, cases of larval distribution are confirmed.

The city of Incheon today announced that 101 complaints related to tap water larvae have been filed as of 1 PM on the 15th.

Compared to 23 at 12 o'clock yesterday, it increased to 5 times.

The city said it monitored eight reservoirs connected to the Gongchon Water Purification Plant and found larvae in the two reservoirs.

As a result, we began to clean the reinforcement and inspection reservoirs and plan to finish cleaning all reservoirs within 7 days.

The city said three complaints were conducted at the Bupyeong Water Purification Plant due to complaints from the larvae found in Bupyeong-gu and Gyeyang-gu, but the larvae were not identified.

The city believes that these regional cases were caused by a separate cause from the water system in Gongchon Water Purification Plant.

As a result of the investigation up to now, Incheon City determined that the larvae of the midget from the activated carbon filter paper of the Gongchon Water Purification Plant moved to the home through the water pipe.

The city introduced chlorine at a concentration of 0.8 to 1.2 ppm in the process of water purification, so it was estimated that insects disappeared in the past, but some individuals traveled to the home by water pipes.

The city will convert the advanced water treatment process of the Gongchon Water Purification Plant into a standard process, while installing the insect repellent, shortening the washing cycle, and adding heavy chlorine to clean the water purification plant within 4 days.
