The Dutch Holthausen Clean Technology is building hydrogen trucks for the American manufacturer Hyzon Motors, the company confirms Monday after reporting by RTV Noord .
Holthausen Clean Technology builds the Hyzon hydrogen trucks for the European market, Scandinavia, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Last Friday, the collaboration, which had been going on for several months, was concluded with a joint venture.
This means that the company from Hoogezand in Groningen not only converts trucks from brands such as DAF and Mercedes-Benz into hydrogen trucks, but now also produces them itself. To this end, Holthausen Clean Technology wants to build a new factory in the Northern Netherlands. The own province of Groningen is preferred.
The company is aiming for a final production capacity of two thousand copies per year in 2024. At the moment there are a maximum of one hundred, while next year three hundred should be released.
