Three people who participated in the <Anchor> Marathon were killed by a car in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province on the morning of the morning (9th). It was a national territorial marathon run from Busan to Paju Imjingak, and the driver who had this accident was drunk.

At around 3:30 in the morning, three marathon participants walk on the road.

When you pause for a moment and want to move again, a passenger car runs fast and runs in.


This is the scene of the accident. As you can see, the road is straight, and the car hits and goes through the marathon participants passing through the second lane here.

The driver's blood alcohol level was drunk, far exceeding the license cancellation level of 0.08%.

Three participants hit by a car were taken to the hospital but were killed.

Participants moved with a light stick behind their back, but could not prevent the accident.

three dead were participants of the'Ultra Marathon' that runs 530km from Taejongdae in Busan to Imjingak in Paju.

Of the 75 participants, those who were in the rear group were to run day and night from the last 5th to arrive at their destination around 1pm tomorrow.

The police plan to hire the driver for violating the traffic accident special law and apply for a warrant for arrest sooner or later.
