Two elementary schools in Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, have established and operated the'School Zone Children's Boarding and Drop-off System', which has been well received.

Taean County said yesterday (7th) that it has been operating the parking lot around Taean Elementary School and Baekhwa Elementary School in cooperation with the Taean Police Station and Taean Education Support Office since mid-March.
The system was built in such a way that when a school vehicle slowly enters a parking lot near the school along a guided line and safely unloads children, the children safely travel to the school through the pedestrian walkway. Hours of operation are from 7:40 am to 8:30 am on weekdays.

According to Taean-gun, the school zone traffic accident continued following the implementation of the'People's Reform Act', which reinforced the punishment of drivers who had accidents in the child protection zone (school zone) in front of the school last month. When it was time to go to school, there was a chaotic parking lot around the front door of the school, but it was the same for school officials and parents to worry about the lack of a sharp solution.
Then, in the middle of last month, when an 8-year-old elementary school student who went to Seosan, Chungnam, near Taean, was hit by a car driving while hanging from a crosswalk, the traffic management chief of Taean Police Station, Kim Heung-gu, said, Let's build it."

Parent and school reactions are positive. In particular, the school replied, "We have been able to resolve the fuss caused by requests for students to go to school safely and to refrain from stopping at the front door."

As the popularity continued, officials from Chungnam-do and Chungnam Office of Education, Chungnam Regional Police Agency, Korea Transport Safety Authority, and the Road Traffic Authority were known to visit Taean in recent years and look at the operation status.
