Sega will revive its famous arcade machine that was released in the 1990s. The Japanese manufacturer has decided to transform the Astro City into a mini arcade machine, reports The Verge . Called Astro City mini, the console will be released at the end of the year.

It is inspired by the Neo Geo Mini, the model launched in 2018 by the manufacturer SNK. The Astro City mini is a small arcade machine that incorporates a screen, a joystick, six main buttons and two control buttons. The console can be connected to a screen using an HDMI cable. Power will be supplied via a microUSB port. And for those who prefer to play with controllers, they can be connected using two USB ports.

No release date for the European market

The retrogaming object is also provided with many video games, since around thirty titles are offered. For the moment, Sega has not delivered the final list but we can already count, among others, on Alien Storm , Golden Ax , Fantasy Zone , Columns II , reports the specialized media. However, it will not be possible to obtain other titles online, since the console does not have Wi-Fi or a network connection.

The Astro City mini will be put on the shelves in Japan at the end of the year for a price equivalent to 120 dollars, or just over 100 euros. But for now, Sega has not released a release date for the American and European market.
