Alma, an app to tell stories to the little ones - Geeko

The artist Martin Solveig has just unveiled - to everyone's surprise - an application for toddlers: Alma Studio. This is a story audio app that skips illustrations so that the youngest can only focus on what is told to them. “Listening without image and without animation on the screen helps the child to detach himself from the phone or tablet. It focuses on audio and relaxes without a screen, ”reads the Alma Studios website.

The app is very much controlled by voice. There is also a timer function which limits the listening time.

The French artist has surrounded himself with many personalities to give life to his project. The stories are indeed told by actors and actresses, as well as humorists. We thus find Eric Judor, Virgina Efira, Gad Elmaleh, Clovis Cornillac, Gérard Jugnot and many others. And everything was recorded during the confinement, explains the DJ on his Facebook page.

The trial is free

The different stories told are adventure tales as well as fun and travel stories, including small guided meditations to relax or put toddlers from 3 to 10 years old.

Alma Studios is available on iOS and Android and is based on a subscription at 7.99 euros per month - cancellable at any time - or 59.99 euros per year. A free 7-day trial period is also offered. Each week new stories will be added to the list.
