Microsoft has increased the maximum number of participants in a Teams meeting from 250 to 300. The company said on a page with technical details about the video service.
This update makes it possible to dial in with more people via Teams than with competitor Google Meet, where the maximum is 250 participants with a paid subscription. At Zoom, the maximum has already been three hundred participants.
Ever since many people work from home because of the corona crisis, the popularity of video calling services is increasing. In April, Teams had about 75 million active users.
The number of users has also increased rapidly in recent months. In April, Zoom had 300 million daily users and Google Meet added three million every day that month.
