A man in his twenties caught the police after he wrapped a tape around his kitten's leg and dumped it on a pile of garbage.

Today (29th), the Dongbu Police Department in Daejeon said it was investigating Mr. A on charges of violating the Animal Protection Act.

Mr. A is suspected of having taped a cat's leg in an animal carrying bag at his residence on the 24th and left it in a garbage dumping area near an elementary school.

The cat was found and rescued by an animal health worker who was passing by, and the cat's hair and skin were reportedly damaged in the process of removing the tape wrapped around the leg at the vet. Later, the animal health worker reported to the police that they had found an organic animal.
As a result of the investigation, Mr. A was found to have raised and sold cats for free in the middle of this month. Mr. A said to the police with the intention of saying "I'm sorry," he said, "I kept scratching it with my feet and disciplined it, but when I went back to the place I left it, it was gone."

The cat is currently recovering from the vet.
