In a 40s gas station contractor who was burned with gasoline on his wife, who turned the lighter on and off during a marital fight, was sentenced to imprisonment.

The Cheongju District Court sentenced 49-year-old A, who was accused of violating the Dangerous Goods Safety Management Act, to three years of probation, three years of probation, and 120 hours of community service.

Mr. A is accused of sprinkling gasoline on his wife B as a fueling machine while fighting for a couple at a gas station in Boeun, Chungcheongbuk-do Province, around 9:40 p.m. last year.

Immediately after overwriting the gasoline, Mr. B turned on the lighter, which led to the fire, and Mr. A immediately extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher, but Mr. B suffered a 2 to 3 degree burn.

The judge explained, "The defendant's fault, which is a dangerous goods handler, is not light, but he puts out the fire immediately and repents of the fault and defers the execution of his brother considering the wife's treatment and care."
