Netflix incorporates new features from time to time to improve the security and user experience of its customers. The last one consisted of a new option that allows users to remove movies and series from the "keep watching" list that Netflix automatically displays. A change that, most likely, will be applauded by a large part of its users.

The "keep watching" feature is a feature that Netflix has incorporated for years in its main menu . It serves as a reminder to users about the movies and series they have left "half done."

Netflix and Schrödinger's audiences

Netflix audiences are like Schrödinger's cat. As we told you months ago, if someone has seen more than two minutes of a movie, Netflix computes that movie as "view" and goes on to increase its audience list.

A list that Netflix is only partially published and broken up with the aim of building business muscle.

However, that same movie, facing the menu within our Android or IOS Netflix application (or within the web page if we use a computer) does not count as a view and becomes the automatic "keep watching" list. A section in which you can stay for weeks , or even months (depending on how you use the application), even though it is a production that we have stopped seeing because we did not like it.

To give a concrete example: if we have seen 10 minutes of the movie Conan, Netflix considers (facing internal audiences aimed at executives, shareholders, etc.) as if we had seen the entire movie but, at the same time, facing my user (that I started watching Conan and left it after 10 minutes) does not consider that I have seen Conan's movie and includes it in the "keep watching" list.

How to remove movies and series from the "keep watching" list on Netflix on Android

Thanks to the latest Netflix update available on Android, we can now remove movies from the "keep watching" list. To do this, the user must click on the three points in the lower left corner of the cover of said film.

Once we have selected the three points we must click on the option "delete from row" . Once this is done, it will only be to confirm our choice and that title will have disappeared from the "keep watching" list.

How to remove movies and series from the "keep watching" list on Netflix on iPhone and iPad

In the case of users with an iOS operating system (those who use an iPhone or iPad to watch Netflix), they must wait until June 29 , which is when Netflix will incorporate this new option for Apple terminals.
