<Anchor> The

Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has been investigating the issue since we reported last month about the problem of the Audi vehicle turning off while running. However, similar problems have been confirmed in Renault Samsung cars, less than three months after the launch. There was a phenomenon that the engine was turned off while driving, but the manufacturer also acknowledged the problem.

Reporter Deok-Hyun Kim was the sole reporter.

Renault Samsung XM3 driver A, launched in March, almost had an accident a month after buying the car.

[Oh, this is sudden. (Why do you do that?) I don't know. Suddenly.] While

driving on the highway, the speed suddenly slowed down and stopped at the shoulder, and the engine was turned off.

[XM3 Borrower Mr. A: When the engine detection device abnormality warning occurs, the accelerator pedal does not step on and the speed decreases significantly. I'm a little dizzy now, but I had a nightmare that day.]

Mr. B, who drives the same car, also ran through the Olympic Road and had a similar job.

[XM3 Cha-Joo B: In areas you don't know, it feels like you won't be safe if something goes off on the highway. I think it was a dangerous situation. It is true that the reliability has

dropped a lot.] There have been 10 reports of XM3 start-off faults received by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

Renault Samsung has received over 50 similar defects.

Renault Samsung, which had a problem with the lack of fuel in the vehicle, said in its own investigation that there was a problem with the'fuel pump' function that supplies fuel to the engine when the start-up phenomenon continues even when the fuel is full.
The parts were mounted on some of the '260 TCe' models that sold about 14,000 units, but the exact number of vehicles and which vehicles are not confirmed.

[Kim Pil-soo/Professor of Daelim University, Department of Automotive Engineering: I think it is very important to understand the actual situation through a complete investigation of the parts sold.] The

Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport considers how to start a preliminary investigation if the damage of XM3 defects continues to increase. I am doing it.
