  • Tips. The 7 WhatsApp tricks to protect your mobile from gossips and onlookers

WhatsApp has become the preferred method of communication within and outside our borders. Currently it has more than 2,000 million users in more than 180 countries, and during confinement it has been an indispensable tool to keep in touch with our family and friends.

The application, which works as a permanent link with the rest of the world, may bring the odd headache. Birthdays or anniversaries that are not congratulated for absentmindedness and that can end in an argument, inescapable reminders because "it doesn't cost anything to send a WhatsApp". Even using a calendar it may happen that you miss sending that message, to avoid future problems from PIXEL we bring the solution.

Applications to program WhatsApp messages, yes, you are not dreaming, it is real. You will always be the first to congratulate birthdays, at 00:00 sharp. That it is also worth to program that report (informal, because it is WhatsApp) that must be sent to the boss or a client at 7:00 in the morning, thus being able to scratch a little more sleep.

That they work correctly and without much complication we have tried two applications, free, SKEDit and Wasavi. These programs work automatically, opening the application, writing the recipient and copying the message, like an automaton but without the disadvantage of wanting to dominate the human race, like Skynet.

To download the first one, search for "SKEDit Scheduling App" in the Android Play Store. When you install it and start it will ask for registration (with an email or Facebook) although you can not do it and use a guest account.

Does not work with lock

In order for it to work correctly, it asks for a series of permissions, SKEDit in particular, in addition to those required for the installation, will require activating it in accessibility, in order to open and send the WhatsApp message. The app itself indicates which permissions must be modified and in which menu they are.

To program the first message you must click WhatsApp (the app also allows email, SMS and calls programs). Then click on the '+' where it says "Add WhatsApp contact", select the recipient and write the message, which can be accompanied by a file, photo or audio.

Then you program the exact day and time you want it to be sent (you can program the same message to be repeated every hour, day, week, month or year, perfect for birthdays) and click on the 'check' symbol that looks like a V in the upper right corner.

The drawback of this application is that the phone must be unlocked at the same time that the message is scheduled to be sent. The way to make sure is by checking the "Ask me before sending" option during the editing of the message so that a notification is skipped and then you can click "Send".

Another configuration of your terminal that can be a nuisance when you try to use SKEDit is battery optimization, so we recommend deactivating it for this application. Do not worry if you do not know how to access this menu because the app will guide you through the process, directly opening the specific settings of the mobile.

Automatic shipping

We have left Wasavi for last because we have an advantage over the previous application. To use it, the operation is similar, search Wasavi in the Play Store, download and start (no registration required). Like the previous application, it will guide you on the steps to take and what permissions to grant it. It is appreciated that the service does not store user data.

Another advantage of Wasavi is that although it is a third-party app, it is integrated into WhatsApp. After installing it, a banner will appear on each chat, a bar at the top, with shortcuts to schedule messages, calls and note creation.

To program a message it can be done from the direct access or by directly opening the application. Recipient is selected, the day and time are programmed, content is added if desired (photo, video, file or audio) and the accept button is pressed in the lower right.

What makes Wasabi different is that the terminal does not need to be unlocked to send the message automatically, however, the automation does not work if you have an unlock pattern. The application itself recommends having a screen swipe or pin code unlock.

Doesn't work on iOS

Unfortunately, the applications in the App Store that promise automatic shipments do not work as such, they are just reminders, but why install a third-party application if iPhone already has its own call "Reminders".

In the end the only option is to create an alarm note for the day and time when we need to send a message so as not to forget it, but nothing automatic, a shame.
