A 20-year-old who stayed for 45 minutes in a toilet at the women's restroom in the library was sentenced to a fine in the first instance.

Judge Jeon Jeung-heung, the sixth criminal detective of the Ulsan District Court, sentenced A (28, male) to a fine of 3 million won for a violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crime, etc. He said he had ordered employment restrictions for one year.

Mr. A was accused of staying for about 45 minutes on March 28 of last year at 12:55 during the day to enter the disabled toilet in a women's restroom in a library in Ulsan to achieve sexual goals.

At the trial, Mr. A insisted, "I was mistaken for a male toilet, and not for the purpose of satisfying my sexual desire.

The court said, "It seems that the restroom is unlikely to be mistaken as a men's restroom by the average person, and the defendant did not go straight to the toilet, but went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror." It was judged that this was not an urgent situation, so it is admitted that I entered the women's bathroom for the purpose of satisfying my sexual desire.”
