"Be careful, never put this photo as wallpaper, especially users of Samsung smartphones. It will crash your device, don't try it! If someone sends it to you, please ignore it ”, can be read in a Twitter post of“ Ice Universe ”.

A colorimetric problem?

The problems caused would be serious. This would go from restarting the phone repeatedly to "bricking", making the device unusable. Some users who downloaded the image to put it as wallpaper posted the disastrous result in response to the Ice Universe tweet.

The latter believes that the problem comes from the colorimetry used by the photograph. By performing an identical manipulation from this same photo posted on the Chinese social network Weibo, Ice Universe notes that no problem has been detected. However, Weibo changes the color of the images uploaded to its service. Google has made no comment on this problem, which seriously affects Android devices.
