Today, on the 29th of the month after the fire disaster in Icheon Hanik Express warehouse where 38 workers died, the survivors held a press conference at the fountain square in the Blue House and urged the government to promptly investigate the truth, punish the officers, and establish a countermeasure against recurrence.

The survivors demanded the enactment of the Major Disaster Company Punishment Act, saying, “The owner of the major disaster, Hanik Express, has no direct responsibility, and the subcontractors are even victims.”

Lawyer Yong-jun Kim, a surviving legal representative, said, "Orders, contractors, and suppliers are distorting and manipulating facts." The survivors should be able to participate in the fact-finding.
