Following the yesterday (22nd), a transgender human rights report that examines what kind of difficulties our minorities are experiencing in our society. Today it's a basic right, but here are some of the things that you can't enjoy because you are a minority.

Reporter Kwon Young-in and Bae Jeong-hoon.

<Reporter Kwon Young-in> I have

5 transgender people and 5 general people standing side by side.

I asked 30 questions about everyday life.

[It is always difficult and difficult to go to the public toilet. If yes, one space back or one space forward.]

[I'm afraid to go buy a mask at a pharmacy for identification.]

[I've been hiding my gender at work.]

[Anybody refused medical treatment.]

[Don't come to family gatherings.]

[ Even if you want to go to the water park.]

[I can't get married.]

[Unreasonable hospitality.]

[ Suggested counseling.]

[Are you a man? Are you a girl?]

[Bullying, employment, election voting, telephone opening, gender entry, hospital care, surveys, buying clothes, saunas, interviews.]

Before the question ended, the general public went to the front where they couldn't go any further.

The transgender remained behind, but there was also a difference.

[Winter / Transgender (last participant): Still (before the start of the experiment) I thought I would be in the middle, but I didn't think I would be behind this.]

[Sol / Transgender (before the transgender participant): In my case, though, I have never experienced significant discrimination among people around me. I think it would be easier to be a real lottery first.]

[Song Kyung-seop / General: Going to the pharmacy, going to the bathroom, or situations that are so common in everyday life, this is a difficult and difficult process for someone. I think.]

<Reporter Bae Jeong-hoon>

I've heard about three transgender people what makes life difficult.

● Medical discrimination

[Chan yeah / transgender YouTuber: I went to the emergency room (by looking at the resident number) and I think this is wrong, and I keep doing it several times. That's right, that's right. Even if I keep talking, this is wrong. (After) Let's endure (not going to the hospital) until we can endure it. If you don't feel like dying, let's endure it.] You

may be asked rude questions or refused treatment because of your appearance and the backseat of your social security number.

The survey found that 35.9% of transgender people said they had medical discrimination experience.

● Employment, job discrimination

[Winter / Transgender Workers: (Gender) You must see that you can't really get a job before correction. It's very difficult to find an ordinary job position, and it's very hard for me to prove my (previous) career after a transition.]

According to the Human Rights Commission survey, 15.5% of respondents said that they canceled employment or refused to hire. 63.4% of the respondents said they had experience and gave up their job application because of their identity.

Daily hatred [Shin-Yeop Kim / Transgender University Student: I deliberately tried to speak to my mother, but I'm just treating myself as someone who doesn't exist at all.]

Only 20% of transgender people feel that they get emotional support from their family.

The public's daily hatred makes transgender more shriveled.

[That's right / Transgender Youtuber: Anyone who knows me or doesn't know or just passes by? Because it was ... .]

● Threshold of

gender correction In order to escape discrimination, legal gender correction is also necessary. But it is not easy.

This is because it is difficult to apply for gender correction without undergoing a sex change operation that costs up to tens of millions of won.

[Winter / Transgender: The cost of this operation is too much money, and I want to do it quickly (surgery), but I don't have any money and it was very difficult.] In

one survey, 78.2% of the total respondents were charged, so the sex change He said he had no surgery.

According to the Sexual Minority Human Rights Report, Korea's Sexual Minority Human Rights Index is 8.08%.

This is lower than Russia, which ranked 46th among 49 European countries.

[Shin-Yeop Kim / Transgender University Student: I don't teach these things in public education, so I just think that people aren't all around me about being transgender ... .]

[Winter / Transgender: I think I need a culture that can accept a difference from me.]
