Huawei to market new smartphone with Google services in Europe - Geeko

If it has been offering a P40 to its customers for a few weeks already, Huawei is well aware of the reluctance of some consumers towards an operating system stripped of some of its functionalities. If AppGallery takes great leaps forward, Huawei's application store is still far from being as busy as that of Google. For this reason, the Chinese giant continues to offer old devices, which are still delivered with Google Web Services.

During the month of May, Huawei will market a new flagship in Europe, the P30 Pro New Edition. This new model will be identical to its ancestor in terms of its design but will benefit from a few small improvements in hardware, with twice as much storage space available (256 GB, against 128), more RAM (8 GB) and an updated OS since the device will be delivered with Android 10 and EMUI 10.1.

A difficult environment

The manufacturer plans to market the smartphone in several European countries, including Germany and Great Britain from June 3, probably in order to counter a slight decline in sales of its terminals. The P30 Pro should be sold in stores for 749 euros.

In Germany, the Chinese group already offers some nice pre-order bonuses to attract consumers, including wireless headphones and portable speakers. Huawei therefore seeks to seduce European customers at all costs in a context where smartphone sales are in free fall. The date of marketing in France has not yet been communicated.
