The Special Committee on Social Catastrophe called for investigations into the people involved, saying that the Blue House had manipulated the point of view of the disaster.

President Kim Ki-chun, the secretary-general of the President of the National Assembly, said:

On the day of the accident, I saw the news breaking news at 9:19, and it was the first time I knew the tragedy. .

The allegations have been acknowledged during the Blue House officials' trial.

The Special Committee on Social Catastrophe said today (13th) that the Blue House was first aware of the accident earlier than 9:19.

At the same time at 9:19 when the news was released, the Blue House Crisis Management Center confirmed the text message sent to 153 people, including the National Security Office, by the National Archives.

The message contained the name of the ship, Sewol, as well as 474 passengers.


The news bulletin titled 'Distress of 500 Passenger Boats Near Jindo' contained details that were not found.

At that time, a worker at the Crisis Management Center also stated that he remembered the situation in Sewol and sent a text message.
