Lee In-geol, a former prosecutor for the Blue House, testified in court that the inspection of the financial policy director of the former Financial Services Commissioner Yoo Jae-soo was halted without normal action.

On Tuesday (8th), former deputy chief deputy chief witnessed the first trial of the former Justice Minister of the Homeland, held at the Seoul Central District Court Criminal Settlement Division 21 (Judge Kim Mi-ri) hearing.

According to the legal community, former Deputy Chief of Liberal Affairs conducted an oversight of former Director Yoo at the end of 2017, and reported it to former Minister of Public Affairs Cho, Hyung-Cheol Park.

In the meantime, the former secretary of the United States informed Park that he had left sick leave without responding to the investigation.

Park's former secretary, who reported this to former Minister Cho, said, "Hold on hold for a while." Some time later, "Yoo Jae-su said he would resign. We don't need to go through the inspection because we've talked about the above in order to organize this much." Former secretary-general testified that the former secretary said.

When the prosecution asked what it meant to be "spoken from above," Lee said, "I remember that it was decided by the chief executive."

The prosecution said, "If you look at the details that have been confirmed until then, you will continue to conduct inspections and do not conclude, but it seems that it is not a situation where you can receive and reorganize your resignation only."

Former Director of the Special Supervisory Commission always wrote a final report with comments on the action when the supervisory team closed the inspection, while Mr. Yu stated that the final report was not prepared at all.

He also stated that the case of Director Yu was not recorded in the actual report at the beginning of the year.

When asked why, he explained, "It's such an interruption to organize your resignation on hold."

At the same time, he insisted that there would have been measures such as notifying related agencies or requesting investigations if the inspection was conducted without a stop order.

He also said that he was concerned at the time that the inspection would be stopped later.

In December 2018, former Minister Jo Cho said in the National Assembly's National Assembly Administration Committee, “Chairman Yoo Jae-soo saw that the basis for the spy service itself was weak. A private issue that is not related to the spy service will not be answered. Responding to the answer, "There is a part that does not fit the facts."

He said, "The evidence is not weak, and the private part is not overlooked."

It was also true that Lee felt psychological pressure in the process of inspecting Director Yu.

For example, at the time, Cheong Kyung-deuk, the Blue House secretary-general secretary's office, said at the dinner table, "I need to save Yoo Jae-soo," and told him that he was feeling bad.

For that reason, former deputy director-general Lee stated that all of the alleged suspicions in the interim report to former Secretary of State Park had been ordered to prevent attempts to cover the case.

He said, "It's not a big deal, but there is an atmosphere of why it is noisy, so it wasn't just a matter to skip, so I thought to tell the chief precisely that it was a serious matter.

In addition, he said that the following year, he heard that there was a pressure on a special class member who oversaw the former director, and that there was pressure to remove the special class member from the special class.

Later, when the special task force was disbanded, the former command chief said, unusually, he appeared in the special task force at night in the office of the secretary of the public office and collected the computer and discarded the prints.

While adding this, I thought that I was trying to discard the data of Director Yu, I added.

In 2010, 2018, the director accused of receiving tens of millions of won worth of money and profits from four investors, including representatives from investment companies, credit information and receivable collection companies, and committing fraudulent acts (violation of bribery, illegal acts after request, and anti-trust laws). As a result, he was indicted for arrest in December last year, and is undergoing a trial.

Prosecutors sentenced five years to imprisonment in a trial hearing on the 22nd of last month.

The sentence will be held on the 22nd of this month.
