At the fire site in Icheon Logistics Warehouse, where 38 workers died, the police began a precise search to find some of the remains and oils that have not been recovered today (2nd).

The Icheon Fire Investigation Headquarters of the Gyeonggi Southern District Police Agency is conducting a precise search at the fire site starting at 9:10 am today.

The search focused on finding some of the remains of the dead and not yet recovered.

Two fork lanes and 13 forensic investigators were involved in the search.

First, when the fork lane removes large fire remnants that have accumulated inside the building, the investigation will be conducted by screening for remains by forensic agents and filtering the remaining ashes.

Earlier yesterday, the police confirmed the identity of eight out of nine out of 38 who died through a DNA investigation commissioned by the National Institute of Scientific Investigation yesterday.

Police expect the DNA test results of one unidentified person to come out today.

A police official said, "This search is separate from the two-day yesterday's identification to find out the cause of the fire, and we plan to focus on recovering the remains of the deceased."

The police held joint inspections twice yesterday with six related organizations including firefighting.

Through joint sensing, 13 tools such as oxygen welders, oxygen cutters and chainsaws are collected and analyzed to find the cause of the fire.

The fire broke out at the logistics warehouse construction site in Moga-myeon, Icheon-si at about 1:32 pm on the 29th of last month. 38 people were killed and 10 were injured as the fire spread to the entire building along with the explosion.
