Of the 38 people who died in the fire at the construction warehouse in Icheon, Gyeonggi, four of the nine who were unknown could be identified.

The South Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency investigation headquarters held a briefing at the fire site today (1st).

The police collected the bodies of the dead immediately after the fire and then identified them through fingerprints.

However, the fingerprints of the nine fatalities were compromised, so the police took the gene and asked the National Institute of Scientific Investigation to verify it.

Through this, four additional identities have been confirmed, and the remaining five are expected to be confirmed as of today.

A police officer said, "We have formed a team of 49 people in 10 groups to protect victims, including the surviving families of foreign victims."

The fire occurred at the construction site of the warehouse in Moga-myeon, Icheon-si at about 1:32 pm on the 29th of last month.

With the explosion, flames spread throughout the building, killing 38 workers and injuring 10 people.
