Yes. The wind was much more frequent than at night.

I am in a village called Hakya-ri, Toseong-myeon, located northeast of Dowon Reservoir in Goseong-gun.

It was about 3km away from the first wildfire, but the wind that blew near 10m / sec all night has now gone about 5-6m, and the gusts of body swaying have also weakened.

As the day dawned, helicopters were launched on a large scale, and the evolutionary work began to accelerate.

At the forest fire site, 38 helicopters, including the Korea Forest Service and the military base, have been put in place since 5:30 am to quickly catch fire.

The ridge that remained on fire just 30 minutes before my side is now almost completely out of smoke.

The surroundings are noisy with the sound of helicopters all over the place.

Forest authorities see an evolution rate of 70% at 6 o'clock.

At the rate of evolution now, full evolution may be possible in the morning.

Over 5,000 fire-fighting personnel, including civil servants and fire extinguishers, were put into the field for the night to continue the firefighting work. No additional home damage was reported except for one burnt house and two attached buildings.

Forest officials estimate that 85 hectares of forest have been lost due to the forest fire.
