These are mobilizations for which they offer advice such as "avoid areas that are presumably going to be subject to controls or patrols" and guidelines on how to act in the event that your participants are fined or detained . According to the Royal Decree of the State of Alarm, those who participate in this type of illegal demonstrations face fines of up to 60,000 euros, regardless of any other crime they may commit.
The symbolic connotations of the anniversary of the Madrid uprising against the French invaders have been claimed and evoked by the vast majority of the political spectrum. From Podemos to Vox, all parties have used this date in their messages as a way of appealing to the unity of the people. An ephemeris that fascists and conspiranoids want to take advantage of to defy the state of alarm.
In the case of La Falange, sources from the Government delegation affirm that this is a demonstration that has been requested but to which no response has yet been given. Among the like-minded popular YouTubers stand out who promote and spread conspiracy theories. Some characters who are encouraging their audience to join the StopConfinamiento Telegram groups and who have publicly expressed their sympathy with the ADÑ coalition (to which La Falange belongs) and collaborate with its members.
Chronology of the challenge to the Government
At 12:51 PM on April 20, La Falange announced via Twitter that it has called a demonstration with its ADÑ partners. Days before, the party had been heating up the environment on social networks with the slogan of "See you on the streets."
The first message of which there is evidence in the group StopConfiamientoEspaña is from April 20, edited at 5:13 p.m. At that time, it is still a private group that people enter by invitation. However, minutes later, the group goes public and anyone, looking for it on Telegram or with a link, can enter. Right now, the group still seems like an amalgam of shapeless ideas .
On the same Monday, April 20 at 22:22, the first message of the Telegram anal of StopConfinamientoEspaña appears . It states that they work to promote "the immediate and peaceful recovery of public space." Unlike the group, a Telegram channel is a one-way communication system, that is, it serves to receive notices and messages but people cannot write.
A day later, on Tuesday, April 21, the Telegram channel of StopConfinamientoEspaña makes its first call to demonstrate with the following message . "On May 2, 1808 the population of Madrid began a popular protest that was harshly repressed, giving rise to the War of Independence against the French occupation. We carried it in our blood. May 2 at 12:00 in front of you (sic ) city council to ask for the end of this criminal confinement. # StopConfinamientoEspaña # levamiento2demayo ".
Conspiracy theorists and far-rightists
In the span of a day, which goes from the genesis of the group and the Telegram channel of StopConfinamientoEspaña and the announcement through these same channels of the May 2 demonstration, a massive influx of users to these channels is observed. A fact that, to a large extent, is produced by the invitation to join through social networks and the Telegram channel of a popular Spanish YouTuber who we will call Gabriel.

Its contents are of varied themes but always related to the world of conspiracy. He is a fervent anti-vaccination , he maintains that there is a social "paranoia" related to gender violence, he boasts on video of rebuking one of the best-known television presenters on the street. Furthermore, he often speaks of the existence of " underground tunnels built by vampires " in which Trump's forces carry out a "secret war" against the supporters of Hillary Clinton and in which, according to his theory, there would be "thousands of kidnapped children "whom the US executive has been releasing in recent days. It also comes to relate the coronavirus to 5G .
His name is mentioned recurrently in the first audios distributed in the Telegram group of StopConfinamientoEspaña before he calls to join .
This YouTuber has a known relationship with members of the ultra ADÑ party . In a video recently removed from YouTube - but about which information is still preserved in caches and references on his own website - he appears talking, with a member of the National Socialist party Democracia Nacional, about what he expects from the founding of the party and about how ADÑ could congregate the conspiranoic vote .
Likewise, on its website it echoes the statements of National Democracy militants and shares with the ADÑ party a pro- Franco and anti-Semitic character . In his imaginary, he places the Jews at the top of an international elite and often refers to them as "those of the Talmud or those of usury . " In addition, it has videos in which it compares the current democratic system with the Franco regime to praise the figure of the dictator.
However, although Gabriel is the most prominent conspiracy theorist in directing his followers towards this protest, he is not the only one. Other YouTubers with similar inclinations participate in its promotion, among which a channel that serves as a meeting point for various conspiranoids ( "shamans", "experts in past lives" and other charlatans who promise to heal the body and soul) with more 10,000 followers on Twitter and a network of YouTube accounts that number several hundred thousand subscribers.
What are the Telegram groups saying?
As usual in massive Telegram groups, an amalgam of comments of all kinds is observed . However, it is possible to find common patterns: comments that point out that the coronavirus is caused by 5G, that the state of alarm is a disguised state of exception, which is an excuse for the elites to promote a new world order. In addition to comments against the coronavirus vaccine and the coronavirus tests, along with statements questioning the official data and people boasting about how it does not respect the measures of confinement.
However, one of the most striking things about the StopConfinement groups is that their administrators have drawn up a decalogue on how to act in the event of being fined or detained, even going so far as to ensure that "the police have mechanisms to invent that they you have attacked them . "
