Yesterday (24th) In the afternoon, a wildfire broke out at Yasan, Pungcheon-myeon, Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do.


Andong-si, Gyeongbuk, issued an evacuation order to the residents of Gohari and Danho 2-ri, Namhu-myeon at 3:18 pm today.

The fire started at Yasan Mountain, Ingeum-ri, Pungcheon-myeon, at about 3:39 pm yesterday, and about 150 residents of Harari and Ivory in Namhu-myeon were evacuated to the town hall and youth training center on the same night, and all of them returned home this morning as the forest fire momentum diminished.

The fire, which was expected to evolve soon, is spreading toward Gohari and Danhori in the south at the end of the day with a strong wind of 8m / sec.

At the site, about 10 fire-fighting helicopters, 30 fire trucks, and 1,000 fire-fighting personnel are working on the fire, but as the fire spreads, additional fire-fighting equipment and manpower will be put into operation.

So far, more than 100 forest trees have been burned, but the fire department said there was no damage to people or private houses.

An official from Andong-si said, "Let the local residents who are spreading the fire calmly move to the evacuation site guided by the local government."
