Two people were arrested yesterday at 3:20 am, 49-year-old Kim Mo, who fled a police checkpoint on a road in Gwanak-gu, Seoul.

When they saw the passenger car on which they were riding zigzag without the headlights on, the police suspected it was a drunk vehicle and tried to check it and fled.

In the course of the 2km chase, he crossed over India and was hit by patrol cars blocking the road.

The 10-minute pursuit ended at the crosswalk here.

Kim ran about 150m from the vehicle and was caught here after a fight with the police.

A police investigation revealed that both Mr. Kim and the driver had a positive result in a simple drug test.

In particular, Mr. Kim was found to be a Class A drug recipient who received a warrant for arrest at the Jeju Provincial Police Agency four months ago on charges of drug sales.

An officer in the police explained, "I saw it as a drug distribution plan and asked for attendance, but the fact that I was being arrested and wanted was confirmed in the process of identification after arrest."

The police have filed a warrant for arrest for two people, including Kim.
