On the 19th, the Ministry of Environment announced on the 19th that, in connection with the spread of Corona 19, five products that violated safety and labeling standards among sterilizing and disinfecting agents were prohibited, banned from being manufactured, imported, and sold.

Of the offending products, four products such as O2Safe, Cerro Water, Medicle Pure, and medical pet were illegally manufactured or distributed without confirming, notifying, or approving safety standards to environmental authorities.

The rest of the products, Bayer Catcher, have confirmed and reported safety standards conformity as a disinfectant, but did not include the safety standard conformity confirmation report number.

In addition, it was found that non-toxic phrases on the product were violated.

According to Article 34 of the Chemical Product Safety Law, advertising of chemical products makes it impossible to use expressions such as non-toxicity, environment-friendly, and harmlessness.

It can reduce the negative impact on human or animal health.

An official from the Ministry of Environment said, "The proliferation of corona19 has increased the use of non-toxic, non-toxic, non-toxic, and non-toxic advertisements to promote disinfection and disinfectants." .

Companies that manufacture or import violating products must exchange or refund the sold product for a safe product.

Consumers who purchase the product can apply for exchange or return at the customer center of the manufacturer or importer or the place of purchase.

If it is difficult to exchange or return immediately, do not seal the product and exchange or return it later.

The Ministry of Environment is planning to intensively monitor the re-distribution of the product so that it cannot be sold in the market despite the recovery order or the ban on sales.

If consumers discover the distribution of violated products, you can report it to the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute's Center for Household Chemical Products (☎1800-0490) or the National Newspaper (www.epeople.go.kr).
