The American video bubble Zoom no longer shows the unique number of a meeting in the title of the toolbar, the company announced on its blog. Users can use this unique number to find and join a video meeting.
By no longer displaying the unique song in the title, it becomes more difficult for people to find the meeting if they come across the song in public places, such as social media.
For example, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson posted a screenshot of a meeting with his cabinet on Twitter on March 31. The toolbar title showed the unique Zoom number, which can be used by anyone to join the meeting.
The British cabinet meeting was closed with a password, but this is not always the case. In these cases, people unwantedly enter video conferences. This practice is known as 'Zoom bombing'.
