A partnership with WHO

Like most of its competitors, Snapchat has seen its usage skyrocket in recent weeks, as half of humanity has been progressively confined to curb the Covid-19 pandemic. "The volume of video calls, often made with augmented reality effects, increased by 50% in late March compared to late February," Snap said in an online statement on Tuesday.

In addition, the application has created special coronavirus filters, including one in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO), which provides advice and information. She also announced "a new augmented reality experience for making donations" via WHO as well.
