SK Chairman Tae-Won Choi announced in 2015 the media to announce the existence of an out-of-weds and announced his intention to divorce Roh So-young, the art center butterfly director.

Two years later, he filed for a divorce mediation, but President Roh refused to divorce, and the agreement divorced.

However, as President Roh changed his stance in December last year and filed a lawsuit saying, "I will respond to divorce," the astronomical amount of property division became an issue.

This is because Director Roh demanded 42.29% of the 12.97 million shares held by Chairman Choi with 300 million won of alimony as a condition of divorce.

Converted to the recent market price, it is more than 900 billion won.

As the lawsuit grew, the court changed from a single judge to a consensus.

In the first trial, Chairman Choi did not appear, only Director Roh attended.

The first private trial ended in 10 minutes, but the key issue in the future is how much Roh's contribution to Chairman Choi's property has been.

While Chairman Choi said that “it is an inherited stock, it is not subject to property division,” while Roh emphasized the “50% division principle” in consideration of his contribution to the formation of SK property during the former President Roh Tae-woo.

Like the divorce lawsuit of Hotel Shilla, who has attracted more than five years, this case is expected to take considerable time to finalize.
