Multiplayer games are a hit

Among the big winners of this activity spike is New Words with Friends , the most downloaded game in the United States and the United Kingdom in March 2020.

The French, for their part, praised the Coin Master casino game, ahead of The Seven Deadly Sins and Uno . The Japanese placed Mario Kart Tour and the German Brawl Stars at the top of their charts. Specialists note that games that allow multiple players to compete are particularly on the rise.

Increase in income

App Annie's report explains that gamers already spend more money on mobile games than any other form of video game. In 2019, downloads to smartphones reported to publishers 2.4 times more than titles on PC and Mac and 2.9 times more than games for home consoles.

By 2020, mobile phone game apps are expected to generate $ 100 billion (approximately € 92 billion) in revenue worldwide.
