From last week, a band of muddy water appeared in the Uiam Lake in Chuncheon, a water source for citizens of the metropolitan area. It seems roughly thousands of tons, but when I went to see where it came from, a new construction site came out.

Reporter Yoon Soo-jin of G1 covered.

The Uiam Lake in Chuncheon, a tributary of the North River, is stained with yellowish tinge.

The muddy belt runs under the bridge of the Soyang River maiden statue and runs several kilometers past the famous Skywalk.

I searched for the place where the muddy water flowed and looked back.

This is an excellent waterway through which rainwater enters, and as you can see, the yellow muddy water continues to spread from here.

When I looked back at the place where the pipeline continued, I found an officetel new construction site with 6 stories underground and 20 stories above ground.

The muddy water from the process of digging the ground was left as a pseudo-code.

[Constructor: (Did you know that muddy water is flowing in?) Yes, I knew. There is no space, so we need to make some sedimentation tank, but we couldn't.]

Only 1m of wave groundwater starts to appear, but it started construction a week ago and has already dug 22m.

As about 400 tons come out per day, 2,800 tons of muddy water flowed into Uiam Lake.

The amount of suspended solids at the outflow point is 242 mg / L, which is more than 15 times the 'slightly bad' 15mg / L according to the appeal environmental standard.

[Gangwon-do Institute of Health and Environment, Water Research Division: If a lot of suspended matter enters, other organic matter also enters the river, which can cause serious problems.]

The contractor said that they would take measures to stop the work and install a flooded pond to sink suspended solids.
