The court has decided to extend the arrest period of the nephew Jomo, the fifth uncle of the former Minister of Justice, who was charged with suspicion of private equity.
Part 24 of the Seoul Central District Court Criminal Agreement (Judge Byeong-seok So) issued an additional warrant for Cho today.
The court said, "There is a fear of escape."
Cho, who was indicted on October 3 last year, was due to expire tomorrow night.
But today, with the addition of an additional warrant, it will be put on trial again for up to six months.
