As the new type of coronavirus infection (corona19) spreads around the world, the government will expand the target countries for special immigration procedures to all countries starting on the 19th.

Accordingly, all persons entering Korea from the 19th must undergo an enhanced quarantine process, such as undergoing a fever test at the arrival hall and submitting a special quarantine report.

At the regular briefing held at the Sejong Government Complex on the 17th, Kim Kang-rip, the 1st Coordinator of the Central Disaster Safety Response Headquarters (Ministry of Health and Welfare), said, “In response to the global pandemic of Corona 19, considering the recent increase in the number of cases and cases of confirmed cases among Korean immigrants. "We decided to expand the special immigration procedures for Koreans and foreigners entering Korea from 09:00 on the 19th."

"The need to block foreign inflows is growing as more than 6 people among overseas residents who have been admitted overseas for the past 3 to 4 days are diagnosed as diagnosed," said Kim. "We decided that it was necessary to apply special immigration procedures universally for all immigrants."

According to the manuscript, 44 corona19 confirmed cases came from overseas on the 15th.

Of these, 16 are the most confirmed from Europe, 14 are from China, and 14 are from Asia outside of China.

Beginning on the 19th, all immigrants must undergo a one-on-one fever test through a special immigration procedure and notify them in advance of any suspected symptoms such as cough, phlegm, sore throat, etc.

During the immigration process, quarantine officers check the special quarantine report.

In addition, immigrants need to install a 'self-diagnostic application (app)' that reports their address and phone number to stay in Korea to the health authorities and can report their health status on mobile.

If you report 'there are related symptoms' for more than two days, the health center will determine whether the patient is a suspect and guide you through a diagnostic test.

"We plan to apply a more aggressive surveillance system, including notifying local governments of the list of all immigrants to the state of corona19 suspicions for two weeks after entry," Kim added.

As of the 16th, the total number of immigrants is 13,350 and 2,130 are eligible for special entry.

If special immigration is expanded to all immigrants, the health authorities believe that the number of special immigrants will increase to about 13,000.

As a result, the health authorities will deploy approximately 73 additional personnel, including quarantine officers, defense department surgeons, nursing personnel, and administrative personnel.

In addition, we decided to secure additional temporary containment facilities and deploy 15 military personnel and support personnel in the temporary containment facilities.
