Hyundai has just unveiled an electric concept car that swaps the steering wheel for joysticks, reports The Verge . The South Korean manufacturer intended to present this model called "Prophecy" at the next Geneva Motor Show, but it was canceled due to the coronavirus epidemic.

The future of the electric car?

Joysticks, attached to each side of the driver, allow the vehicle to be steered left or right. The area at the steering wheel is also clear. The driver thus benefits from maximum comfort and ease of movement. SangYup Lee, director of the brand's international design center, explains that with this concept car , the objective is "to establish an emotional link between man and the automobile".

The South Korean manufacturer specifies that with Prophecy, it wishes to present "innovative mobility solutions for future drivers of electric cars". But this is only a draft at this stage. This model foreshadows what the brand's direction could be in the years to come. No date of marketing and no price has been communicated.
