A corresponding report on the autopsy results of an 85-year-old man showed that COVID-2019 affects mainly the human lungs. Moreover, reliable evidence that the disease affects other organs was not received.

It is clarified that initially the hospitalized did not have an increase in temperature and other symptoms of the disease, only on the 10th day after admission to the hospital did he have discomfort in the throat in the form of itching and high fever, and computed tomography revealed the presence of infectious foci in his lungs.

The final diagnosis of COVID-2019 was received only on the 13th day of observation. The patient died on the 28th day after hospitalization. The cause of his death was indicated as "pneumonia caused by a new type of coronavirus, respiratory failure."

Earlier it was reported that the death toll from a coronavirus infection with COVID-19 in China increased to 2788. In total, there are 78,824 infected in the country.
