The number of cumulative patients in Korea increased to 2,022 as of 9 am today (28th) with 256 new screeners.

More than 90% of new applicants are concentrated in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, where the situation is most severe.

In Daegu, the number of confirmed patients increased by 422 yesterday, followed by 182 people this morning, resulting in 1,314 cumulative patients.

Shincheonji Daegu Church said yesterday, 82% of the 1,016 people who received the first test result were confirmed.

Health officials say the test is underway for members of the Daegu Sincheonji area, which will increase the number of new patients in the foreseeable future.

No additional deaths have occurred since the death of a man in his 70s who was waiting to be hospitalized in Daegu yesterday, and the cumulative death toll in Korea remains at 13.

As of yesterday, there are five critical patients receiving tracheal intubation or respiratory care, and 17 severely treated patients with high fever or oxygen masks.

Two of the existing patients were released and 26 cumulative dischargers.
