In the Kurgan region, on the bottom of the Tobol River, divers found dozens of animal bones of the ice age. Experts have discovered the remains of a woolly rhinoceros, mammoth and ancient horses. In addition, a part of the hammer, the weapon with which the man of that time hunted, was lifted from the bottom. The head of the expeditionary department of the Sverdlovsk branch of the Russian Geographical Society, Sergey Kondrashin, calls the bottom of the Tobol river “a window to the Jurassic park.”
