Patients who come for outpatient care turn to the door of the hospital.

[Residents in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul: I needed to bring some medicine (from Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital).

Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital in Seoul stopped outpatient care from early morning (21st) and closed hospital facilities including emergency room.

This is because an employee in their 30s who was transferring patients was confirmed by Corona19.

The employee told the doctor that he had a cold for the first 17 days.

The hospital said it checked the CCTV video and found that the employee visited most of the hospital's wards and contacted 207 transfer patients.

St. Mary's Hospital entered into quarantine, including relocation of 72 patients who remained in the hospital, and 135 were discharged from Eunpyeong-gu Health Center.

[CEO Choi Hyun-hyun / Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital Infection Control Officer: (the confirmed staff) was wearing a mask, but there was an inappropriate moment to broaden the contact range.]

Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital has an average of more than 2,500 outpatients per day.

They have not been able to get prescriptions at pharmacies because they do not have prescriptions in the hospital.

[Kang Sung-hoon / Pharmacist: The prescription itself does not come out at all, and sometimes people buy it as a generic medicine instead.]

Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital will resume outpatient care next week after disinfection.

We also identify additional hospital staff, including medical staff who have been in contact with this patient.
