Blood reserves, which have plummeted since Corona 19, have stabilized with the voluntary participation of the people.

On August 4, Park Kyung-seo, chairman of the Korea Red Cross, announced on the website that his blood donation has fallen sharply, so he is suffering from blood supply.

At that time, the blood reserves of the Korean Red Cross were less than 1.3 days compared to the previous year, and the number of individual donors decreased more than 20,000 from the same period last year. In the past five days, blood reserves have fallen to 2.9 days, which is below the "stage" level.

When this news became known, a voluntary 'blood donation relay' was formed among citizens and companies. The number of blood donors that have fallen since Corona 19 has increased, and the atmosphere of taking blood donation shots through social media has spread.

Online stories have also appeared that the whole family has either "family blood donation" together or decided to redeem blood donations. Not only individuals, but the police, firefighting, defense, and political, economic, and public institutions all came together. As a result, blood reserves nearly doubled in 11 days.

An official of the Korean Red Cross said, "The blood donation has dropped sharply and I have delayed the surgery. I couldn't imagine such a rapid recovery."
