The hacker group OurMine recently took over the Twitter account from Facebook on Friday. Last month OurMine also hacked several popular Facebook accounts.
The hackers posted a message on the Twitter page of Facebook, stating that the digital security of Twitter left something to be desired. They also placed a call to their own website for anyone interested in securing their own account better.

The message was deleted shortly after placement. Twitter confirmed that the Facebook account was indeed hacked. "Once we were informed, we locked the account. We are working closely with our Facebook partners to fix this," a Twitter spokesperson told Reuters news agency.
The hackers group is known for hacking social media from various companies, although they usually only use the access they gain to post a number of messages to make it clear that the channel has been taken over.
The hackers group was also active in 2016 and 2017. Then the social media accounts of PlayStation, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg were hacked.
