The research department of Jaguar Land Rover has developed a car seat that can give the body the feeling that it is walking. This would benefit the physical health of many drivers.
According to Jaguar Land Rover, the seat cushion of the car seat is constantly moving, albeit very slightly. The movements, called "micro-adjustments" by the manufacturer, are set so that the brain thinks you are walking.
Jaguar Land Rover also reports that the technology can be adapted to different drivers. The company has no plans to actually fit the seat in the Jaguar, Land Rover and Range Rover models.
