The development is based on the influence of special currents, with the help of which signals of the necessary strength are transmitted to the spinal cord.

“The basis of our methodology is the effect of electrical impulses on segments of the spinal cord, which are responsible for the movements that the patient must perform. For its implementation, we use a device whose electrodes are fixed on the back of a person, ”explained Sergey Chernoutsan, Director General of Kosima.

The device has already been tested on animals and volunteers, its clinical trials are scheduled for this year.

It is expected that the industrial design will appear in 2021.
