PlayStation 5: Sony still has some big surprises in store - Geeko

Backwards compatibility, shorter loading times, integration of an SSD, the new controller and 3D sound support will not be the only innovations brought by the PlayStation 5. The director of the PlayStation division at Sony confirmed during an interview with Business Insider, Sony still has some nice surprises to present to us.

So far, the group has revealed only a few details about the design of its console. The full technical data sheet will not be released for several months. Several major innovations are still to be presented.

The best is still to come

“Each time we launch a new console, the processor and the graphics improve, but we also have to bring some little more. We have already confirmed the addition of the SSD. Having much shorter loading times is a major development. The 3D sound and haptic feedback from the controller are also things that represent big changes. Playing Gran Turismo Sport on PS5 is a radically different experience. There is no turning back after playing it on PS5. There are still many other new features coming to PS5. And the biggest innovations have not yet been announced, "says the boss of the PlayStation division.

Traditionally, new consoles are presented at the CES. Sony has however chosen to operate differently by now organizing its own events for announcements of consoles and games.
