The Segway-Ninebot brand has just lifted the veil on its new machine: the “S-Pod”. It is a "gondola" on two wheels in which the user will be seated, like the gyrospheres of the film "Jurassic World", reports The Verge .

The manufacturer has also revealed that it was clearly inspired by this feature film of 2015 to imagine this brand new vehicle. And the result is surprising because the S-Pod looks like a kind of wheelchair intended for able-bodied people.

It should hit the market in 2021

Unlike the brand's first machine, the user will no longer be standing but comfortably seated as in an armchair. To move forward or backward, it will no longer be a question of tilting forward or backward, but this will be done with a navigation keyboard that will allow the user to navigate. Segway-Ninebot also explains that the machine mounted on its imposing wheels can "self-balance" and that it will reach a maximum speed of 39 km / h.

The S-Pod will be officially presented from this Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at the CES in Las Vegas. It will be possible to try this new device but to get one, it will however have to wait ... The manufacturer announced that its marketing will not be done before 2021, at best.
