A large tower crane collapsed at a construction site in Incheon and workers crashed, killing two people and hurting one.

According to the Incheon Fire Department and the Incheon Training Police Station, a large tower crane collapsed today at 8:32 am on the construction of a new cutting tool manufacturer in Songdo International City, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon.

The accident killed two workers in their 50s, A (58) and B (50), who crashed to the ground from a 30-meter-high tower crane. Another worker, C (32), was injured and moved to a nearby hospital.

Among the dead, Mr. B was buried in the construction debris after the fall, and fire authorities are now taking care of the body.

At the time of the accident, the construction of the tower crane was underway by unscrewing the bolts.

An official from the fire department said, "At the time of working to reduce the height of the tower lane, the crane collapsed on the tenth floor of the building."

Firefighting authorities worked with more than 20 firefighters to rescue 17 vehicles, including elevated excavators and ambulances.

The police are also investigating the exact details of witnesses, and will check whether the construction officials and others have kept the safety rules.

A police official said, "The sunk worker was confirmed dead." "We are going to check whether there was a problem in the process of loosening the bolts, or whether the crane itself could not bear the load."
