Raphael, Manuel Carrasco, Ana Belén or Miguel Ríos will be some friends who will take the stage to celebrate their 30 years of experience with the singer

The singer Miguel Poveda (Badalona, 1973) finishes in Madrid the presentation tour of his double album Time passes by , with which he commemorates his 30 years in the world of music. From the special dimension of the event, the rich representation of artists attests to the stage: Raphael, Manuel Carrasco, Ana Belén, Miguel Ríos, Lolita, Niña Pastori, Antonio Carmona, Sara Baras, India Martínez, Jesús Carmona, Israel Fernández and Rosario La Tremendita, among others.

Does the concert stick to the 24 songs of Time Flies , published in 2018? No. It is a celebration of my already 31 years of experience and I review all of it. There are songs of the two parts in which this last disc is divided, but there is also a newspaper archive of the previous ones, from the beginning. It is a very festive concert, very open, with very different moments, from Lorca to Miguel Hernández, the most traditional flamenco and flamenco-pop, to call it somehow. And I have a lot of the friends I have made in these years, which represent the diversity with which I have grown. Time flies by, you have a part of pure flamenco singing and another part of Andalusian song .... Not being a purist is an economic decision not to spend so much fatigue? How? [seems angry]. If my goal had been the economic one, I would not have sung Lorca, or in Catalan ... I would have done other things, like reggaeton, to become a millionaire. My search is not economical. What happens is that I am restless and I like diversity and I feel as comfortable with flamenco as with other styles. Even if you move within flamenco with a wide range of views, do you consider yourself more purist than, for example, Niño de Elche? I don't know who Niño de Elche is, nor am I interested. I care about genuine art and free artists. The anti-systems and terrorists of art do not interest me at all. I neither know nor understand them.

And why is the Mining Lamp award so important when, in fact, in the last 40 years, the only singers who have become famous are Rocío Márquez, Mayte Martín and you ...? And they are precisely artists who are not characterized by being purists, perhaps because their goal is to keep those songs alive. If the Mining Lamp did not exist, those mining sounds would not have the repercussion that they continue to have in the world of flamenco. Then, each artist has the projection that the fate or decisions with which they have raised their career have sought. That no longer depends on the festival, but on the artist himself. It seems to me that it is important that it exists, because in this way a song is still preserved that, if not, would be in disuse. I understand that your father was a fan of the Beatles, Supertramp or Pink Floyd and his mother of Bambino, Rocío Jurado or Chiquetete ... Why did you opt for the Andalusian song and how did it get from there to the purest flamenco? Well, I opted for the Andalusian song because it was what sounded the most in my house. My father worked and on the weekends he was the one who put Pink Floyd, while my mother was the one who listened to the most music at home. And my mother's sister was the one who took me to the rocks. Hence the restlessness came to me. Then, in the Badalona flamenco gathering, it is where I entered the most classical flamenco universe and decided to become a cantaor. And that's what I'm doing. You've already performed at the Teatro Real, so I don't know if you're impressed by doing it at the Wizink, where flamenco artists like Niña Pastori and, more recently, Rosalia, who got 16,000 spectators, have done it. Would it be a failure not to match it? I just have to worry about arriving and singing, but the venue is not crowded to compete with Rosalia. In my concert the audience is not standing, but sitting, and my format is for 4,000 people and we have already had to expand, so we are very happy.
