The National Institute of Environmental Research says a wild boar fever virus has been detected in wild boar caught in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do, and in a wild boar mortality found in Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do.

The wild boar captured in Yeoncheon-gun was captured by a harmful tidal-damage protection team that was patrolling three nights ago.

The check has increased the number of wild boar cases affected by African swine fever to 46 cases, 14 in Yeoncheon-gun and 16 in Cheorwon-gun, respectively.
