About 7:20 yesterday evening, the forest fires in Baekseok Mountain, Bupyeong-myeon, Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do spread all night near the summit.

At one time, the fire was banded close to 300m along the ridge, but it was hard to pick up due to the high pickling and dark day.

Fortunately, this morning, forestry and firefighting helicopters were deployed to speed up the evolutionary work.

Four forest helicopters and seven leased helicopters were in the process of extinguishing and about 190 personnel were put on the ground.

The strong wind warning that had been lowered all night was lifted, and the wind that blew almost 6 meters per second has now faded to 1 to 2 meters.

Forest officials say about 10:39 am today they are evolving weekdays and clearing up their current balance.

There are no damages to private houses and lives due to the fire, but it is estimated that about 2ha of forests have been burned.

Forest officials say they will use 40 Forest Service Specialists to completely remove embers that may remain in fallen leaves and tree roots.
