The assault between a Korean student and a Chinese student over whether to support Hong Kong's democratization ended without criminal punishment by revealing that the parties did not want each other to be punished.

The Seodaemun Police Station was closed to the assault in Myongji on Monday.

A police official said, "After examining each of the two students, they said they did not want the other to be punished."

They were reported to police last night on charges of assaulting each other in the Myongji University Student Union building.

When a Chinese student attempted to post a contradictory post on a obituary saying 'I support Hong Kong's protests', a Korean student reportedly had a struggle.

Separately, the police filed a complaint last month and investigated the property for damages to people who appear to be Chinese students on a Hong Kong-supported banner on Yonsei University's Sinchon Campus.
